Mission
Hosts 85 Homeless Kids for "Breakfast with Santa,"
Featuring a Tour of the Festival of Trees & Arts and Crafts |
| The Bay
District School system's homeless liaisons coordinated a fieldtrip
for 85 very special children in this 3rd annual event, as part of
the Mission's Festival of Trees.
The children were hand-picked based
on need eligibility and were transported to the Visual Arts Center
for a morning of Christmas cheer!
The TOYS for KIDS Foundation
provided gifts, which were distributed by Santa himself.
Breakfast was provided by McDonald's and Dairy Fresh.

The kids
were able to participate in two arts projects, provided by Home
Depot and Hobby Lobby. Volunteers from Bay High School SGA and
Culinary departments assisted in this unique event.
And the kids topped off the morning
with a tour of the nearly 50 trees and gingerbread houses that were
on display at the arts center. |
