Here's what to recycle:
|
|
Any kind of
paper-newsprint, shredded white paper, colored paper, phone
books, envelopes, magazines)
|
|
Aluminum/Bi-Metals-
drink (ie: soda, etc) and food cans (ie: canned veggies)
|
|
Cardboard- any kind, includes food and cereal
boxes, but we can not accept wax-coated cardboard
|
|
Plastic 1-
water
bottles, soda bottles, 2-liter bottles, cough syrup bottles,
anything else with a plastic recycle #1 symbol on the
bottom. We cannot take plastic bags right now.

|
Plastic 2-
milk
jugs, cleaner bottles, bleach bottles, syrup bottles, OJ
plastic containers, gallon water bottles, anything else with a
recycle #2 symbol. We cannot take plastic bags right now.

How
to get them ready:

Please rinse out any food and
drink containers (and remove labels from food cans)

Remove the caps
-
Crush to reduce the size if
possible
-
Group plastics, aluminum, and
bi-metals in one container
-
Group paper and cardboard
together in another container

You can use any bag or box for
now. Come to the Mission or Regions Bank on Earth to pick up your Rescue Recycling kit (complete with
blue bags and instructions).

PLEASE include your other
in-kind donations (like clothes, furniture, appliances-- call
769-5777 for large pick-ups)
