Dr. Frank and Regina Merritt, along with their two sons, were welcomed to dedicate the rescue mission’s chapel at Bethel Village Home for Women and Children, the women and children’s shelter, in memory of Dr. Merritt’s late best friend and medical school classmate Jason Smith.

Smith died of brain cancer several years ago. And in his memory, the Merritt family made a $10,000 donation. The rescue mission, on Aug. 11, 2015, received the family for the chapel dedication.

The classroom was renamed “Jason Smith Chapel” and will be used as the designated area for chapel services, addiction recovery classes and study hall.

Through their gift, Jason Smith’s shining legacy will live on. Contact Amanda today to learn more about becoming a legacy giver: 850-769-0783, abawn@pcrmission.org
