A group of thoughtful individuals in the community are marching for a good cause, delivering ruck sacks full of nonperishable food items on foot to the Panama City Rescue Mission, 609 Allen Avenue, Panama City, FL Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 6 a.m.
This march was the idea and work of Nicholas Kehoe who wanted to help the Rescue Mission with its summer food donation shortage. Kehoe is organizing people in the community to individually gather food donations, store it in their ruck sacks, and march their donation on foot to the Rescue Mission.
The group of people participating will meet at the East End of DuPont Bridge, 6800 E Hwy 98, at 5:30 a.m., and march approximately eight miles on foot with the ruck sacks to Panama City Rescue Mission. The march will begin at 6 a.m.
Participants are encouraged to wear light or reflective colors and no military uniforms. The route is via Hwy 98 through Parker. Ruckers may encounter some traffic.
