Dalton’s Story

Dalton arrived at Panama City Rescue Mission (PCRM) in June 2025 seeking a stable environment after completing rehab. Soon after, he faced an unexpected challenge: a missed communication with a former Probation Officer resulted in a warrant for his arrest. Stopped on his way to work, Dalton was taken into custody, unaware of the situation.

With support from his Case Worker, Program Manager, and the Bay County Sheriff’s Department, Dalton was released on his own recognizance, given a court date, and tasked with completing all probation hours and court obligations. Determined, he not only fulfilled these requirements but also continued attending Most Excellent Way at First Baptist Church, relying on prayer and guidance from PCRM staff.

On his court date, PCRM staff advocated for Dalton, sharing his progress with the judge. Amazingly, the District Attorney had no objection, and the judge recognized Dalton’s hard work, declaring that day “Dalton’s Freedom Day” and lead the courtroom in applause. Dalton’s story is a powerful reminder of perseverance, faith, and the life-changing support of PCRM.

Dalton obtained full time employment at First Baptist Church, purchased a vehicle, and is now living in his own apartment.
